Paoli introduces Svelte, executive and management swivel seating with a light and lean form for application in offices, workstations and conference rooms. The thin profile of the Svelte design is intended to complement the clean lines and versatile proportions of Paoli’s recent casegoods introductions.

“The thinner character of the upholstered Svelte chair creates a graceful architecture and buoyant visual appearance, yet it provides all the comfort and control options Paoli customers expect,” stated designer Bill Raftery, Raftery Design, Inc. Specifiers can influence Svelte’s visual impression with a broad array of fabric and leather choices, expanded by Paoli’s Graded In upholstery program.

Svelte is available in low or high-back styles, with adjustable arms or loop arms, and swivel or synchro-tilt control mechanisms. In designing the aluminum loop arm, Raftery focused on the clean detailing and flush transitions of the integral urethane arm cap.

In addition, the thin back character was achieved without compromising comfort or support. Svelte is constructed with a combination of tempered steel, molded plywood and elastic webbing that provides a sleek frame for upholstery. Specifiers can choose a plain back or a channel back upholstery treatment. This gives the chair a crafted, quality appearance.

The lighter scale of Svelte naturally results in a more sparing use of materials. Svelte by Paoli meets all of the necessary qualifications to be certified levelTM 1 in conformance to the BIFMA e3-2008 Furniture Sustainability Standard. Certification assessment addresses four categories: material use; energy and atmosphere impacts; human and ecosystem health; and social responsibility. Third party certification of Svelte was performed by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), the leading environmental certifier in the United States. SCS certified Svelte as meeting the requirements for Indoor Advantage GOLD certification in compliance with the BIFMA standard for indoor air quality.
